Texas Oak Bourbon started as a question about oak, not an afterthought to it. We picked mature eight-year-old barrels that already had a strong identity in charred American white oak — real sweetness, structure, and grain character already in place.From there, we transferred the whiskey into toasted Texas-grown white oak casks to see what a second, local wood influence would do to something that already worked.

The Texas oak brings extra aromatics, more spice, and a heavier finish, and bottling at barrel proof keeps that intact instead of diluting it out. The real work in blending was finding where the American oak character and the Texas oak influence complement each other instead of competing. This blend holds that line — expressive, not chaotic; assertive, not harsh; and shaped unmistakably by where it finished.
