A crisp, seasonal bourbon cocktail with fresh apple character, bright citrus, and warming spice. Koopers Bourbon gives the drink enough depth to stand up to cider while keeping the finish smooth and approachable.
Bourbon and apple are a classic pairing because the spirit’s vanilla and caramel notes naturally complement orchard fruit and baking spice flavors. This style is especially common in fall and holiday cocktails, but it works year-round when you want something easy-drinking and polished.
2 oz Sweetheart of the Rodeo Bourbon
1 oz cider
.5 oz of lemon juice
.5 oz of maple syrup
1 oz of ginger beer
1. Add Sweetheart of the Rodeo Bourbon, apple cider, lemon juice, and syrup to a shaker with ice.
2. Shake until chilled and strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
3. Float 1 oz of ginger beer over cocktail and garnish with cinnamon stick and lemon peel
For a longer, lighter version, top with a splash of sparkling water or dry hard cider. That keeps the drink refreshing without losing the whiskey character.
