In Texas, the rodeo has never been just a sport. It's a test of nerve. Some people ride out of stubbornness, some out of pride, and some because someone told them not to. The Sweetheart of the Rodeo is the one who does it with grace. She's the rider the crowd can't take their eyes off. She's rugged and unhurried, and the dust doesn't bother her. That's Texas, hard-edged and independent, and it's a little more beautiful than it lets on. This bourbon is built on the same idea. We blended three bourbons, four to six years old, and rested them. Then we went back and adjusted one variable at a time until candied honey and bakery sweetness ran through the whole blend. It's a bourbon for people who respect the grind but still want to enjoy the ride.
