Koopers Family Rye is the product of long-term barrel tracking and a lot of notebook pages. We treat each component barrel as its own story, following how the rye’s edges soften and how the oak and grain interact as seasons pass. When a group of barrels starts to speak the same language, we test them together at multiple proofs, looking for the moment the blend feels “fixed” rather than forced. The goal is a rye whose character comes from how the parts are assembled, not from any one dominant barrel.
