The Honey Ginger Porch Julep keeps the crushed-ice refreshment and mint aromatics of a classic julep, but adds a softer layer of floral sweetness and spice through the honey-ginger syrup. That small shift gives the cocktail a longer finish and a little more personality, making it feel familiar enough to recognize and distinctive enough to remember.
Mint, Ginger, Honey
2 oz Sweetheart of the Rodeo Bourbon
0.75 oz honey ginger syrup
8–10 fresh mint leaves
Crushed or pebble ice
Mint bouquet and optional candied ginger for garnish
In a julep cup or rocks glass, gently muddle mint with honey ginger syrup. Add Sweetheart of the Rodeo Bourbon and a scoop of crushed ice, then stir until the glass frosts. Top with more crushed ice, mound it slightly, and garnish with a generous mint bouquet.
