A 10-year-old, 100% rye whiskey originally distilled by Koval in Chicago, aged in 15-gallon new charred oak barrels for its first 9 months in the Texas heat, then set to rest for over 9 additional years in a 7-year-old used Buffalo Trace bourbon barrel. This intense Texas maturation drives concentrated rye spice, dark caramel, and toasted oak, while the ex–Buffalo Trace cask layers in vanilla, toffee, and soft tobacco, creating a big, richly structured rye with a long, warm finish and a distinctly Texas–meets–Illinois-meets-Kentucky character.
